Fiona Attwater RVN  Dip AVN (surg)- Head Nurse

Fiona (currently on maternity leave until summer 2015) joined us in July 07 as our Head Nurse. Fiona passed her VN exam over ten years ago. She then continued to study for an additional 3 years, whilst working full time, to gain a diploma in surgical nursing. She is pictured here with her pet Maia - her dancing dog! Fiona has a particular interest in how dogs interact with each other and with their owners. She has been awarded a Certificate of Distinction for a canine behaviour. Fiona is in charge of our Veterinary Nursing training.

Amy Garbo RVN Dep Head Veterinary Nurse

Amy joined Meridian in January 2005. She already has a National Diploma of Applied Science in Animal Management, and while working full time here also studied and qualified as a registered Veterinary Nurse(RVN). Amy has a certificate in Feline Behaviour and is curremtly enrolled  on a Dipolma for Feline Veterinary Nursing. Amy lives with her 2 mischevious cats Blade and Beemer.

Amy Starling RVN Veterinary Nurse

Amy has been one of the team since September 2007. She had been our Saturday assistant and was keen to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse. Happily when the opportunity arose in December 2009 we were able to offer her a full time position as a student nurse. Amy is now a qualfied Vet Nurse (August 2013).

Julie Izard RVN Veterinary Nurse

Julie started in September 2014 after a 13 year break at Meridian. Julie has over 25 years experience in veterinary nursing and we are pleased she has moved back to Meridian. Julie works part time on Mondays and Wednesdays.
 

Victoria McCabe Trainee Nurse

Vicky joined us in March 2012 as our Nursing assistant. She has a foundation degree in Animal Science at Plumpton College were she assisted hand rearing Hugo the Skunk. Vicky has a milk snake called 'Milkly Joe'. Vicky is due to start her Veterninary Nursing training in September 2013 at Plumpton College.

Megan Smith Trainee Nurse

Megan is studying a Degree in Veterinary Nursing at Plumpton College over the next 3 years. To gain her qualification she must work in practice 2 days a week for 1 year then full time for her second year. Megan has become a very valuable member of the nursing team. Megan has a dog called Milly and lives in Portslade.

Emily Lennard Animal Nursing Assistant

Emily started in September 2014 her role is to support the nursing team with day to day duties. Emily goes to Plumpton college on Mondays to study animal nursing and has a Golden retriever called Jake.
